ACEC Georgia Transportation Forum

Description

The September meeting will feature Joshua Waller (GDOT Government & Legislative Relations Director) & Donn Digamon (GDOT State Bridge Engineer) discussing New Georgia Law Authorizing Weight Limit Increase for Trucks & Impacts to Bridges. Chris Harman, WSP, will also give an update on the ACEC Georgia Technology Task Force and the ongoing Open Roads Designs trainings.

ACEC Georgia has a formal written partnership agreement with the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and the Georgia Highway Contractors Association known as the Georgia Partnership for Transportation Quality (GPTQ). The work of this partnership is led by ACEC Georgia through the Transportation Forum, which meets monthly at GDOT headquarters, and includes the GPTQ Steering Committee, GPTQ Consultant Relations Committee and numerous other sub-committees. The Transportation Forum also spearheads the annual Transportation Summit, which brings together Georgia's state and local transportation officials, elected officials and the leaders of the design and construction industries.
