WHAT IS INTRODUCE A GIRL TO ENGINEERING DAY?

Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day is a half-day program sponsored by the engineering community to introduce girls to engineering through fun projects and activities. The event includes:

  • Hands-on activities that will expose students to engineering concepts in an interactive and engaging way led by engineering professionals, scientists, and STEM college students.
  • Q&A session for parents about preparing students for an engineering education hosted by engineering professionals, college professors, and college students. 
  • Drinks and snacks

WHO SHOULD COME: Upper elementary (4th-5th grades) and middle school-age (6th-8th grade) girls who are interested in STEM.

COST: $5 per person

Registration includes all event activities as well as snacks and drinks. Each student must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the event. This is NOT a drop-off event. 

Parents or guardians who would like access to snacks/drinks will need to register.

SPONSORSHIP INFO:

  • Title Sponsorship - (includes top placement of logo on all event marketing, dedicated social media post, logo listed on snack station signage and on napkins distributed at the snack station, drinks and snacks for up to eight people from your organization, booth space (2 tables if desired), and *ability to sponsor 20 scholarships for financially challenged students) - $3,000 (Limit 1) - members only

 

  • Gold Sponsorship - (includes logo on all event marketing, logo on social media post, snacks and drinks for up to six people from your organization, booth space if desired, and *ability to sponsor 15 scholarships for financially challenged students) - $2,000 - members / $2,500 non-members

 

  • Silver Sponsorship -(includes logo on all event marketing, logo on social media post, snacks and drinks for up to four people from your organization, booth space if desired, and *ability to sponsor 10 scholarships for financially challenged students) - $1,000 - members / $1,250 - non-members

 

  • Booth Sponsorship - (includes one 6-foot table at the event, name on all event marketing, and snacks and drinks included for two people from your organization that are manning the booth) - $400 - members / $550 - non-members

 

  • Non-Profit Sponsorship - (includes one 6-foot table at the event, name on all event marketing, and snacks and drinks included for two people from your organization) - $200

 

  • Additional Table for Booth - (includes one additional 6-foot table at the event; must be reserved in advance) - $175

  

*We often hear from educators that they have students with excellent potential in math and science, but their families have limited discretionary funds, especially if they have siblings who are also interested in the event. Your sponsorship will enable us to offer free attendance for those students and you will be recognized as the benefactor of those attending on scholarship.

 

All sponsors are responsible for providing a quick engineering game or activity that will last 5-7 minutes while the students are at the booth. Sponsors are also encouraged to have advertising/marketing "swag" materials as well. The activity should be engineering-related and be able to be performed individually or in pairs. 

Sponsors can arrive at 7:00 am on Saturday, March 16th, to set up their booth. Booths must be set up by 8:30 am.










Pricing

Registration: $5 per person
